In this conversation we discuss the different dynamics of adult friendships. What making friends as an adult is like, our experiences in keeping friendships alive over the years and navigating conflict in friendships.
The Adulting Out Loud podcast brings together three ladies from very diverse backgrounds, talking about their experiences as certified adults.
Yunia Kazibwe (Top Right) is the founder of Adulting Out Loud. She is a wife, and mother to an amazing little girl. When she is not writing for the blog or recording for the podcast, Yunia loves spending lazy days with family, watching movies and catching up on a good series. Though she doesn’t currently have one, she loves cats.
Yunia prefers texting to phone calls, enjoys taking walks, and her favourite snack is popcorn. She often plays pranks on people, and only stops laughing to catch a breath.
Carolyne Kako (Left) has most people calling her Carol. Her professional interests and passion are in working with and for people. It is no surprise that she finds her career in human resource management.
She enjoys having deep conversations about life, getting to know people, their stories and the potential of who they can be.
She loves travelling, and interacting with different cultures and values. She also loves flowers and tea. Anytime is tea time in Carol’s world.
She aspires to have a transformative impact on the people she meets and serves.
Yvonne Edward (Bottom Right) is a wife, and an environment planner in her early thirties living and working Kenya.
Her hobbies include dancing, watching movies and travelling.
Yvonne sees the beauty of life in the color green and believes having a walk on the beach is therapeutic.
Besides becoming a mother and international civil servant, Yvonne hopes to one day have a center where she can increase awareness on, and compliance in environmental issues for local citizenry.
Join the trio every two weeks as they offer each other encouragement, inspiration and a good laugh. They hope to leave you feeling refreshed and ready to face everything adulting has in store for you. Thanks for listening!
